The departments of communication studies, music and college communications hope to set up a facility to easily stream the main events that are held in the Dahl Chapel and Auditorium. By setting up Dahl with remote cameras and an easy to operate video streaming machine, the College could stream numerous events from the campus’s oldest building with minimal staff and time needed.
Alumni and the general community might be very interested in the possibility to see formal events such as Honors Convocation and Baccalaureate, as well as chapel services, concerts and guest speakers, including the annual Whiteman Lecture. Additionally, events could be easily archived to be seen at a later time. Parents, especially, would benefit from the opportunity to see their children perform or receive recognition.
This $14,533 project crosses many potential audiences and will have a significant impact on and off campus.
