Each year, the Office of Development and College Relations works closely with a committee of graduating seniors to develop the Senior Class Gift and Honor Walk.
Each graduating class can leave their mark on Monmouth College by supporting the Senior Class Gift project chosen by the class committee.
Past Senior Class Gift projects have included building a picnic and grilling area (Class of 2017), the Scots Spirit Scotsman statue (Class of 2015) and the famous college cannon (Class of 1903).
The Class of 2018 has set a goal to raise a minimum of $14,000 to update the College's campus signs. Signs updated with funds raised by our seniors will be engraved with the words, "Dedicated by the Class of 2018."
Seniors who donate $20.18 or more to the Senior Class Gift project will also be invited to participate in Honor Walk.
The Honor Walk allows graduating seniors to honor a special person that influenced them during their time as a Monmouth student. On the eve of commencement, President Wyatt will present each senior who contributed to the Senior Class Gift project a talent – a coin with Wallace Hall on one side and the College seal on the other. As the audience of family, friends and classmates looks on, each senior will then present the coin to the special person who has influenced them at the College.
Gifts may also be made by sending a check (note "Senior Class Gift" in the memo line) to 700 East Broadway, Monmouth, IL 61462 or by calling 309-457-2231 or 888-827-8268 between 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. CT.
Your donation helps us pay for the paint for the letters on new signs.
Any senior who donates $20.18 may participate in Honor Walk during graduation week.
